School Song & Pledge

Song

We with the red, white, and brown

Forward and onward, we go

With heads lifted high

Forward we cry

Upward and on ward we go

We will be the youths of our land

Guided by God’s almighty hand

Upward and onward we always go

The only alma-mata we always know

Pledge

This is our  school

Let peace dwell here

Let the room be full of contentment

Let love abide here

Love of one another

Love of life itself

And love of God.

Let us remember that

As many hands build a house

So many hearts make a school.

Guidelines for Parents

The school cannot establish and maintain the standard of work and behavior necessary for success without the support of parents and/or guardians at home.

Remind your child to behave well, obey home and school rules regarding running, noise, fighting, stealing, etc. Show your love for the child, use positive reinforcement, avoid physical punishment.

Set a good example for your child- he/she will watch you and emulate your behavior, conduct and language. Insist that your child say ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘excuse me’ ,etc. Use these polite words yourself with the child so that a good example is set.

Be firm and consistent with your child - do not change the rules as the situation changes. If punishment is necessary, make it fit the act - do not be severe one time and too soft the next.

Do not punish in anger- calm down first- talk softly but firmly, avoid shouting. Do not let the child play one parent against the other.

Encourage the child to be neat, tidy and clean. Make sure that uniforms are clean, face washed, hair combed, teeth brushed, shoes cleaned every morning when they leave for school. Encourage them to come home looking the same.

Make every effort to acquire the correct uniform and dress the child in the uniform everyday.

Make sure your child has a regular, reliable transport to and from school. Talk to them about the road safety, behavior on the road and in the vehicle.

Children Live what they Learn

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.

If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.

If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.

If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence.

If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.

If a child lives with honesty and fairness, he learns what truth and justice are.

If a child lives with fear, he learns to be apprehensive.

If a child lives with pity, he learns to feel sorry for himself.

If a child lives with jealousy, he learns what is envy is.

If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.

If a child lives with security, he learns about faith in himself and in those around him.

If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.

If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love.

If a child lives with recognition, he learns that it is good to have a goal.

If a child lives with sharing, he learns about generosity.

If a child lives with friendliness, he learns that the world is a nice place in which to live.

IF YOU LIVE WITH SERENITY, YOUR CHILD WILL LIVE WITH PEACE OF MIND.
